Meet our Runners: Erika Rist

What motivated you to run for CAASE this year?
I run a lot, so 13 miles isn't much to ask of me in the name of CAASE.

What has been the greatest challenge so far?
Raising funds. Most people my age have just graduated from college, so they can't afford to donate. If you know any heiresses, send them my way!

How does it feel being part of the CAASE team?
Like a show of solidarity for exactly the organizations and people for whom we ought to show the most solidarity.

Did you ever run a marathon before?
I ran the half-marathon on the CAASE team two summers ago, when I was an intern.

Why do you think people should support the Race for CAASE?
CAASE was built on and maintains a philosophy based on the only way to decrease sexual exploitation--targeting demand by deterring johns and traffickers, which would inhibit the sex industry, trafficking, and rape. There could not be a team of more integrity than CAASE's, true from Executive Directors to interns. Actually, I'd challenge someone to come up with a reason why people shouldn't support the Race for CAASE.

Help Erika reach her fundraising goal by visiting her Race for CAASE page. Support our other runners by visiting our full team list.

Many thanks to our generous sponsors!
